![]() Google has changed the way this works anymore, based upon what I’m experiencing. When you copy the shareable URL of the file, it only opens in the Google Drive environment, often requiring you to sign in to access the files, and so the link is useless. The problem with Google Drive is that there is no obvious way to host a video there and then link it to your Divi video module or background video. Hosting videos on Google Drive for your Divi website sounds like a good idea, but does it work? Yes, it works just fine, you just have to know how to do it. You probably already have a Google Drive account either as a personal account or a business Gsuite account. Personal accounts are free with 15GB of storage each, so why not upload videos to Google Drive and let Google’s servers load the video to your website visitors? Here’s The Problem Nothing is easier to use and access than Google Drive. There are plenty of good options out there such as YouTube or Vimeo, but what if you want to host your own videos for free? Simple and Free, But Does It Work? The Obvious Solution…Or Not?Īs you know, you should never directly upload a video to your website.
